In collaboration with AWZA, Creative Australia and 8CCC, Red Hot Arts has designed a series of Online Skills Development workshops in Lighting Design for arts workers in Central Australia. Each workshop will be led by a different interstate lighting expert, sharing their knowledge, expertise and skills with us, culminating in a practical hands on session early 2024.
The first of the trilogy is Introduction to Lighting Design with Jenny Hector. Jenny is an award winning designer whose prior experience includes designing for the Sydney Chamber Opera, Paul Kelly and Paul Grabowsky, Dark Mofo, Melbourne Art Centre, GUTS Dance, Melbourne & Sydney Theatre Company, and various national and international theatre and festival lighting designs.
Workshops will be livestreamed both inhouse at 67 Bath St Alice Springs and online. (We encourage participants to volunteer to join online to test this platform and give us feedback.)
