The Studio

A purpose-built space ideal for dance, theatre, and creative development — with sprung floors, mirrors and full AV.

About the space

The Studio is designed for movement-based practice and performance. With a sprung floor, black backing curtains, mirrors, and in-built AV system with projector and screen, it is perfect for dance, theatre and rehearsals. This space is also fully wheelchair accessible.

Capacity

Maximum: 30 people

Hire fees (ex. GST)

Prices are for individual hire. For classes or large groups (over 30 people), please contact admin@redhotarts.com.au for a quote.

• Per Hour: $30

• ½ Day (4 hours): $120

• Full Day (4 hours+): $200

Booking T&Cs

• New hirers: please book at least 1 week in advance

• Previous/ongoing hirers: please book at least 24 hours in advance

• Last-minute bookings: While we will do our best to accommodate them, booking requests made with less than 48 hours' notice cannot be guaranteed.

• Food & drink: There is strictly no food or drink in the studio. This is to keep it clean for dancers and theatre makers and other creatives who may be using the floor. A $200 cleaning fee may be charged if the Studio is left dirty or contains food waste. Water bottles are permitted. 

• Set up time: Your booking includes 15 minutes before and after your booked time for set-up and pack-down. If you need more time, please book it as part of your hire. Access outside your booked time is not guaranteed and may incur additional charges.

Cancellations

We know plans can change. Our policy is:

• More than 7 days notice: no fee charged

• Within 3-6 days prior to booking: 50% of the hire fee

• Within 48 hours prior to booking or same-day cancellation: full hire fee

If you need to cancel due to illness, extreme weather or another genuine emergency, just get in touch with us as soon as you can — we’ll do our best to be flexible. Cancellation requests must be submitted via email.

Term Bookings

By booking for a term, you’re reserving the space exclusively. Fees are payable for the full term, and cancellations are not refundable except in cases of genuine emergencies (e.g. illness, extreme weather).

We understand life happens — that’s why we allow up to two cancellations per term at no cost, for any reason. Any further cancellations beyond this will still be charged, unless they fall under genuine emergencies.

Please note: for regular classes, low enrolments or changes of plan do not qualify as emergencies.
