Over two nights, Flickerfest, Australia’s largest Short Film Festival is excited to be returning on its National Tour to the Araluen Arts Centre Theatre in Alice Springs showcasing the Best of Australian Shorts and Best of International Shorts programme highlights, all handpicked from our recent Bondi festival competitions. The short films screening are all entertaining, inspiring, award-winning and fresh from their premieres in competition at Flickerfest Bondi, giving Alice Springs Flickerfest audiences a window into the hottest contemporary shorts from at home and across the world today.

On Saturday 23rd March 7.30pm enjoy an incredible collection of global stories and take a trip around the world from the comfort of your cinema chair with the Best of International Shorts programme. Amongst a host of international highlights enjoying their Australian premieres are the bittersweet UK drama My Week With Maisy starring legend of stage and screen Joanna Lumley, the stunning Himalayan Last Days Of Summer where a recurring mysterious sound from mountains is heard only by two curious young shepherds and from Ireland comes the surprising Clodagh about a young woman of exceptional talent, who dazzles a lonely priest’s housekeeper and upends her routine life in unusual and charming ways.

On Saturday the 23rd of March 3 to 4pm at Araluen you can also join in a free AFTRS X Flickerlab panel and go behind the scenes with director Damon van der Schuit and team as they discuss the making of the Alice film First Drop: More details and register via the link below.
