Experience the eclectic and diverse Folk culture of Central Australia!

Alice Springs/Mparntwe has always been a creative centre for music, art, culture and folklore, and these elements will form the backbone of the Top Half Folk Festival at Ross River Resort on the June long weekend. This festival will carry on the high standard and traditions of the Top Half Folk Festival previously staged biannually at Glen Helen Resort since the 1980s. This year’s festival patron is none other than former NT Administrator, long term Territory folk/country singing legend Ted Egan AO, who will sing at the opening ceremony with much admired local folk stalwarts Bloodwood.

“Contrary to popular belief, I’m not dead yet,” Ted Egan said. “It’s great to be patron of a festival I have enjoyed for so many years.”

Announcing our headline artists Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham, plus Mic Conway (Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band) with Robbie Long. Loads of Territory folkstars, workshops, kids activities, Queer As Folk cabaret, all in one beautiful space at Ross River Resort. Cafe/restaurant will be operated by Watertank Cafe so plenty of delicious and wholesome food. Camping available at the site, but if you want a bit of luxury, you can book a cabin at the resort by calling 08 89569711. There will be a bar selling beer and wine, swimming pool, breakfast bar open in the resort each morning.
