We would like to invite community members to attend a community vigil being held this Saturday 18th of May at the Desert Knowledge Precinct, on the Batchelor Campus to commemorate Nakba Day.

We are inviting you to come together to stand in deep community connection and solidarity against the dispossession of land and culture here and the martyrs and immense human suffering of the ongoing nakba in Palestine.

There will be speeches from local community leaders, from the diverse communities of Alice Springs, including some of the Running Waters Press poets.

Theresa Alice will be burning bush medicine to heal the country here and send healing through the air to Palestine.

Activities will include live music, bush medicine workshop, t-shirt printing & henna application. All activities are kid friendly and families are very welcome.

Speeches will be at 11am, lunch is served at 12pm. We have some capacity to provide transport to those who need it.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to 0419 649 100.
