Witness Desert Mob come alive as thousands flock to the Araluen Arts Centre precinct for the buzzing Desert Mob 2024 Marketplace!
Presented by Desart, the large art market offers attendees the opportunity to acquire works directly from the artists who created them. View and purchase paintings, ceramics, punu, weavings, sculptures, textiles, clothing, jewellery, homewares, merch and more from 30 Aboriginal-owned art centres across Central Australia.
Experience the richness and diversity of desert art with workshops, performances, activations and more on offer throughout the day.
Marketplace Program of Events:
• 10:30 AM - Ceramics Demonstration by Ernabella Arts at Central Craft (ticketed)
• 11 AM - Yarrenyty Arltere Artists Soft Sculpture Workshop in the Araluen Arts Centre foyer (free)
• 11 AM - Arrernte Ayiye (Arrernte Yarns) with Kumalie Kngwarraye Riley (free – bookings essential)
• 11:30 AM - Hermannsburg Potters Ceramics Masterclass at Central Craft (ticketed)
• 2 PM - Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre Watercolour Painting Workshop at Central Craft (ticketed)
The Marketplace is a free event open to all the community. Food and beverages will be available to purchase on the day.

Desert Mob is proudly presented by Desart, the peak body for Central Australian Aboriginal Arts and Crafts centres.
