A decisive weed declaration is a key first step in containing buffel's spread and managing its impacts. This is important as buffel grass is the greatest invasive species threat to the environment and culture across the arid lands. Buffel grass is also a threat to public safety, tourism, the arts, land management, as well as to the mental, social and physical health of Territorians. Buffel grass fuels hotter, more intense and more frequent wildfire events, transforming and degrading the health of country. Buffel grass threatens to invade up to 70% of the continent if left unmanaged.
Our deep thanks to DuYu Coffee Roasters for providing the venue. Light refreshments will be available.
