Join Henry Smith for a five-part workshop series at Central Craft, focused on landscape painting in watercolour. Suitable for both beginners and intermediate painters, the series explores essential techniques for capturing atmosphere and place.

Across the sessions, participants will develop skills in colour mixing, washes, and brushwork while creating expressive landscape compositions. Individual guidance is provided throughout to support each artist’s progress and confidence.

Watercolour’s fluid, luminous qualities make it ideal for interpreting the natural landscape. Drawing on examples from his own practice, Henry will introduce techniques used by both contemporary and historical watercolourists, guiding participants step by step.

Each session begins with a demonstration, followed by guided making and one-on-one support. Where possible, missed sessions can be accommodated through an additional half-day, arranged directly with Henry.

Dates: 12, 19, 26 April & 10, 17 May (no session 3 May)
Time: 10am-2pm
Price: $340 members | $350 non members
