The major funding round for the Regional Museums Grant Program has opened with grants of up to $40,000 available to support the development, conservation, preservation or exhibition of the Northern Territory’s unique cultural heritage.
Funded by the Northern Territory Government, and administered by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT), the program is open to regional museums, galleries and cultural centres in the NT.

Applications open: Monday 2 February 2026
Applications close: Sunday 29 March 2026, 5PM ACST
Recipients announced: Wednesday 10 June 2026
Projects commenced: Wednesday 1 July 2026
Projects completed: Wednesday 30 June 2027
