PASS THE MIC IS BACK IN ALICE SPRINGS 🎤

Local rappers, hip hop artists and performers – this is your chance to represent Alice Springs on the national stage.

Pass The Mic returns to Mparntwe/Alice Springs after last year’s event, searching for local talent to compete in the Alice Springs Pass The Mic showcase.

Two local artists will be selected to fly to Sydney to compete in the national finals, with the chance to win $50,000 and the national Pass The Mic title.

If you make hip hop, rap or original music and want to get on stage – sign up to compete.

The competition is part of a free three-day music weekend at Red Hot Arts, with creative workshops, mentoring and recording opportunities for young and emerging artists.

THU 13 AUG | CREATIVE MUSIC WORKSHOPS
11am–2:30pm – 18+ drop-in: song development, writing support and mentoring
3:30–6pm – Youth songwriting & storytelling workshop

FRI 14 AUG | PASS THE MIC – ALICE SPRINGS SHOWCASE
4–8pm – The main event. Local artists take the stage and compete for the chance to represent Alice Springs at the national finals in Sydney. Performances from 5:30pm.

SAT 15 AUG | RECORDING WORKSHOP
12–5pm – Hands-on recording, collaborative production and song development.
