My Story, My Song. A song writing workshop

ABOUT

My Story, My Song is a song writing workshop for beginner as well as experienced singers and musicians who would like to develop their song writing skills.

Suzette Herft is passionate about song writing and inspired by a visit to Nashville, she founded the Melbourne Songwriters Guild.

Her songs have been finalists in the Australian Independent Music Awards over the years.

Suzette has recorded 6 albums and is currently working on her 7th album.

She will share her knowledge in this song writing workshop and help you discover your ‘own voice’ as you develop your craft.

Participants in the workshop will learn the fundamentals of song writing and how to transform their ideas and story into lyrics and melodies and create an impactful original song.

Participants need to bring a notebook and pen and an instrument if they play one.

During the workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to:

• get feedback on their work.
• meet other songwriters / aspiring songwriters in their community.
• tap into their creativity in a safe and supportive environment,
  and, at the conclusion of the workshop, will have either a fully completed song, or a partially completed song that they can continue to work on post the workshop.

Lunch and drinks will be provided.
