Desert Fringe Festival returns to Mparntwe / Alice Springs from 10–19 July 2026 with a wild program of live music, theatre, comedy, dance, cabaret, workshops and late-night events.
As Central Australia's only multi-arts fringe festival, Desert Fringe brings together local artists, independent producers and creative communities to share unique, diverse and original work across venues throughout town.
This year's program includes underground electronic music and DJs, hip hop block parties, reggae, blues and original desert music, contemporary dance in an industrial workshop, clown theatre, cabaret, spoken word, storytelling, songwriting workshops and open stage events celebrating local talent.
With a huge range of free and low-cost events, Desert Fringe offers something for every budget.
