Territory artists, live and loud—Roadshow NT rolls into Alice Springs for Desert Festival 2025! This one-night-only event brings together a standout mix of comedy and sketch from across the Northern Territory.
The 2025 Roadshow NT lineup includes:
Big Dog Salad: Showcase of Shorts Vol. 2
Absurd, chaotic, and seriously funny—Big Dog Salad is back with a brand-new round of sketch comedy, featuring new young talent and fan-favourite Jack McMillan. Expect surreal tales of post offices, post-it notes, and a post-apocalyptic world. It’s BDS at their weirdest and best.
Shalom Kaa – Asian Looking Māori With A Jewish Name
Darwin’s sassiest Kiwi import, Shalom Kaa, brings his hit Fringe show Asian Looking Māori With A Jewish Name to Mparntwe. Armed with razor-sharp wit and irresistible charm, Shalom takes audiences on a high-energy ride through culture, identity, and the quirks of modern life. From growing up Māori in small-town Aotearoa, to being constantly mistaken for Asian, to navigating adult life, race, and relationships with cheek and heart—this show is as personal as it is punchy.
With live music from the incredible Bambadino.
So buckle up—Roadshow NT hits Alice this July. One night only. Don’t miss it.
Presented by Artback NT, Roadshow NT is a curated celebration of Territory performing arts from the Top End to the desert. By showcasing original work by independent Territory artists, the program supports sector growth and brings live performances to remote regions.
