Bring your lunch and head down to the Old Courthouse lawns to support live music on the streets of Alice Springs every second Wednesday, May through August.
This fortnight's gig features two sets from:
THE WANTED GEMS
Fresh off receiving not just one, but three NT Music Awards (Folk, Pop and Youth), The Wanted Gems are an identical twin sister duo known for their angelic harmonies and a unique ukulele-driven sound. Blending indie folk, dream-pop, and heartfelt storytelling, their music captivates audiences with raw emotion and rich vocal layers. Having performed at festivals and shared the stage with artists like The Dreggs and Josh Pyke, they continue to make waves in the Australian music scene.
NED JAMPIJINPA HARGRAVES & J.M. POULSON'S RED DIRT BLUES
Respected Warlpiri elder Ned Jampijinpa Hargraves joins J.M. Poulson's Red Dirt Blues (Julien Poulson, Donovan Rice, Stuart Robinson) to deliver "KARRINJALA MUAJARRI MI" (Put Out The Fire) – a raw, powerful song born in response to the disproportionate rate of indigenous incarceration in Australia and the senseless death of Kumanjayi White - along with other original works.
