Bring your lunch and head down to the Old Courthouse lawns to support live music on the streets of Alice Springs every second Wednesday, May through August.
This fortnight's gig features Dan the Underdog with special guests Alice Kings & Sally Westaway.
Dan the Underdog is an award winning Northern Territory based MC/producer who has been pivotal in establishing the Northern Territory Hip Hop scene. He's put together a special set with two local artists he has been collaborating with:
Alice Kings – Mparntwe youth hip-hop act. Their first single 'Black N Deadly' was produced by Dan the Underdog and released in 2024. It was a finalist in the recent NT Music Awards 'Youth' category. Their second single, Bomb Site, is out now on streaming platforms and you can watch both music videos on Dan the Underdog's YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/@dantheunderdog
Sally Westaway – local harpist and vocalist. Sally and Dan have collaborated on several classical-meets-hip hop arrangements, such as There's A Place and Lascia Ch'io Pianga, which you can check out on Sally Westaway's YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/@sallywestaway1113
