Introduction to Playwriting with Mary Anne Butler

Is there a play you’ve always wanted to write? Do you want to get started writing for theatre, or do you have a creative idea that you want to turn into a performance piece?

In this all-day workshop, award-winning playwright Mary Anne Butler will introduce the essential skills of writing for theatre. Presented by NT Writers Centre in collaboration with local arts initiative Theatre Makers, this workshop is designed to kickstart a creative idea that participants can continue to develop later in the year.

This workshop is open to anyone with a passion for theatre and performance, aged 18+ regardless of experience or skill level. Places are reserved for First Nations participants and accessible application options are available.
