Learn how to use the technique of cobbling and random weaving to make a bird from natural and man-made fibres. Cobbling is a kind of random stitching used to hold fibre together to create a form. Random weaving will be shown as a way to create gorgeous intricate wings to your bird.

You will be provided with information about basketry techniques and fibre collection, but the focus is enjoying the process of creative discovery. Materials such as sisal rope, dyed corn husks, feathers, threads, and split flax will be provided.
