ARTS NT- QUICK RESPONSE SCHEME
Ongoing- increases access for applicants to unforeseen arts opportunities in a flexible and responsive manner in the Northern Territory. Individuals, groups and organisations may apply. ARTS NT- COMMUNITY GRANTS
Ongoing-
offers up to $5,000 to support community based arts activities with a strong focus on community involvement in all stages of the project. Individuals, groups and organisations may apply. Activities for organisations can not include those already delivered through core program funding. ARTS NT- COMMUNITY FESTIVALS FUND
Ongoing
- the Community Festivals Fund supports established and emerging regional and remote community festivals to develop and present artistic programs and cultural maintenance initiatives in community arts celebrations by offering up to $20,000 per year for up to three years. Applications should be submitted at least 12 weeks before the start date of the proposed festival to allow for notification prior to festival commencement. AUSTRALIA COUNCIL ART GRANTS

AUSTRALIA COUNCIL- PARTENRSHIP DEVELOPMENT FUND
Ongoing- provides funding of up to $5,000 to assist artists, groups, or organisations to undertake further development and/or extension of effective partnerships. This category supports the development of partnerships between arts and non-arts sectors that seek to achieve community arts and cultural development outcomes in one or more of the community partnerships priority areas. It does not support professional development, presentation and promotion, or project production. AUSTRALIA COUNCIL- PRESENTATION AND PROMOTION GRANT

Presentation and Promotion grants support one-off projects that present, publish, distribute or market quality music of any style.  The grant also supports such activities as gigs, concerts, festivals, showcases and promotional or performance tours within Australia, and publications that document or discuss aspects of music in Australia. AUSTRALIA COUNCIL- INDIGENOUS ART WORKERS; ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER ARTS
Closes on 15 July 2010.The Indigenous Arts Worker’s program grant category is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts organisations only. The category will provide funding for either the employment of an Indigenous arts worker and a program of activity or an Indigenous arts worker only. AUSTRALIA COUNCIL- SKILLS AND ARTS DEVELOPMENT; ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER ARTS
Closes on 15 July 2010.Skills and Arts Development grants assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts organisations to develop ideas and skills, not necessarily with a public outcome. Applications might include mentorship programs involving the sharing of artistic and cultural skills and knowledge, support for arts workshops, professional development projects, conferences or seminars, management planning and development. AUSTRALIA COUNCIL GOING GLOBAL

- for activities commencing in the 2009-2010 financial year The purpose of this fund is to enhance international touring opportunities for Australian contemporary performing arts. This fund provides support for one-off tours – Market development has established market priorities for 2008-2011 for Asia, North and South America, and Europe. Applications are turned around six weeks from receipt.

AUSTRALIA COUNCIL INTERFUSE – INTER-ARTS
Ongoing Infuse aims to address issues of conceptual development among artists working in interdisciplinary practice as well as creating new relationships between emerging and established artists that support career development. Project proposals through Infuse must include a framework for follow-up activities that encourage longer-term contact between participants, particularly in areas where there are limited opportunities for artists to network.

AUSTRALIA COUNCIL 2009 GRANTS GUIDELINES AVAILABLE NOW
The Australia Council for Arts offers more than 110 different kinds of grants and initiatives for individuals and organizations across a number of funding programs, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts, Community Partnerships, Dance, Inter-Arts, Literature, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. The updated website offers information on the categories that are available but also gives advice on preparing an application. A new feature for 2009 are short case studies, giving general tips and advice on applications in each art form and online application forms. www.australiacouncil.gov.au

INDIGENOUS SMALL BUSINESS FUND
The Indigenous Small Business Fund (ISBF) offers funding to Indigenous community-based organisations to assist Indigenous people learn about business, develop good business skills and expand their businesses. The ISBF provides funds for projects that help create Indigenous business opportunities and provide jobs for Indigenous people. Link

 

THE IAN POTTER CULTURAL TRUST
Since its inception in 1992, The Ian Potter Foundation has provided a platform for emerging Australian artists, providing a crucial kick start into their careers. The trust aims to cultivate and nurture cultural diversity and excellence within the arts and grants are provided to individuals in support of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, community arts, conservation and moveable cultural heritage, crafts, design, literature, music, performing arts, radio, film, television, video and visual arts. Applications for funding are assessed quarterly throughout the year by the Board of Governors of the Foundation.
